Affordable Group Therapy in Phoenix
Available online throughout Arizona
For thoughtful people navigating emotionally demanding experiences and new identities.
What group is like:
Small group of other adults (about 5-6 people, never more than 8).
Meeting weekly via secure video for 60 minute sessions.
Conversations are supported and facilitated- you won’t be left to figure it out on your own and you won’t be forced to share.
Space to talk about what’s happening in your life
Opportunities to be heard, to listen, and to respond to others.
Affordable session fees- about a third the cost of individual sessions.
Group therapy isn’t about performing or having the “right things to say”- it’s about showing up and discovering what happens when you’re met by others who actually “get” it.
It’s completely normal to feel unsure about group therapy. You might be wondering:
What if I don’t know what to say?
What if it’s awkward or I just feel weird?
What if I feel judged or don’t fit in?
What if I shut down or share too much and feel exposed?
What if this doesn’t work as well as individual therapy? Would I be I wasting my time?
It’s common to have questions or hesitations about group- many people do. Those concerns are welcome here and often become part of what makes the experience meaningful. You won’t be expected to share before you’re ready. Part of the process is creating a space where people can show up honestly and at their own pace, and many people begin simply by listening.
Research consistently shows that group therapy can be just as effective as individual therapy- and for some concerns, even more so.
My role as therapist in our therapist-led groups:
Creating the conditions for people to feel comfortable sharing, in their own time.
Paying attention to and addressing both your experiences and what unfolds between group members.
Offering psychoeducation and skills training to fill in gaps or questions that come up in discussion.
Providing gentle structure and prompts to help deepen reflection and connection. We’re not just sharing stories, we’re working to notice patterns, identify shared themes, and uncover the needs and next steps that emerge from our experiences.
Find out nobody in group is going through it alone!
Group therapy isn’t just a group of people talking- it’s a space that’s intentionally guided and supported.
Why group might be a good fit:
You’ve done therapy before but want something more experiential or just need more support.
You feel “too much” or are unsure how you come across to others.
You want deeper, more authentic relationships.
You’re looking to connect with other people who get it and are open about going through the same things you are.
You are curious about therapy and want to start something but aren’t ready or able to make the commitment to individual sessions right now.
