Meet Your Facilitator
Traci Andes, LCSW, RN
Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Registered Nurse
As both a board-certified clinical therapist and a registered nurse, I know firsthand that the exhaustion and frustration inherent to our field is often misinterpreted as personal failure or a deficiency in 'coping skills.'
But we cannot experience the deep rewards of this work without first cutting ourselves some slack and acknowledging that our stress is a predictable, biological response to holding space for high-stakes human crises in a highly demanding system day after day.
I founded Andes Counseling to move past superficial wellness trends and offer real, systemic support to helpers. In this group, my role is to fiercely protect our confidential container, anchor our work in evidence-based nervous system regulation, and help you build the practical boundaries needed to sustain your career without losing yourself.
In this 6 week small group, we’ll explore:
Week 1 | Mapping Your Nervous System’s Natural Defense States
Learn to identify your personal, felt cues for hyper-vigilance (constantly on edge) and hypo-arousal (emotionally shut down). Together, we will de-shame your exhaustion by framing what you are experiencing as a normal biological response to a highly demanding system.
Week 2 | Micro-Regulation in the Present Moment
Move past surface-level wellness trends to learn practical, moment-to-moment practices for regulating your central nervous system. You'll gain tools to help you think more clearly and find a sense of calm right in the middle of a chaotic work environment.
Week 3 | Reclaiming Meaningful Encounters with Patients & Colleagues
Learn how to leverage micro-regulation to connect to meaningful moments and authentic exchanges with clients, patients, and peers. Discover how to create brief oases of humanity in the middle of the everyday storm.
Week 4 | Finding Opportunities for Effective Personal & Client Advocacy
Refocus your lens from personal failure to structural realities. Learn sophisticated techniques for identifying and maintaining firm boundaries with high-demand systems, including how to communicate your needs by appealing to what actually motivates healthcare and human service administrators.
Week 5 | Discerning Coping Strategies that Restore Balance
Examine the difference between effective emotional processing or healthy distancing that restores your energy, versus default coping mechanisms and environments that inadvertently increase chronic distress, frustration, and disillusionment.
Week 6 | Realigning with What Matters Most
Move forward with sustainable intention. We will clarify your core values and the things you truly care about outside of your helper identity, mapping out small, highly practical steps to bring your personal life back into focus and priority.
Group Schedule and Cost
Group Schedule
This group meets for 6 consecutive Saturdays beginning August 15.
Group Therapy Investment
Group Therapy Package: $360 for a complete 6-session cohort (Breaks down to $60 per 60-minute session)
Choosing group therapy is an incredibly powerful investment in your healing, and it is also a highly sustainable one. Because the financial investment is shared among a small group of peers, it allows me to offer specialized, high-impact clinical work at a fraction of the out-of-pocket cost of individual therapy.
Why the package model: Commitment supports safety. By investing in the full 6-session package up front, you are securing your spot in a closed, consistent circle where members can build genuine trust, step out of isolation, and heal without the fear of judgment or interruption.
